In 3rd Year Computer Studies classes, students are participating in a European-wide Design Thinking research project called extenDT2 with Trinity College and Learnovate. Students are focusing on thinking of solutions using problem solving technologies to address the Sustainable Development Target #2 - Zero Hunger.

Students are targetting three particular issues - nutrition, biodiversity around Stratford College and collecting water for the school polytunnel. The technologies they are researching with are called ChoiCo, SorBET and Malt2 on the extenDT2 platform. They will be presenting their solutions at the end of the summer term. Sincere thanks to Helena Ledermann from Learnovate for her deep involvement with this project and to Dr McAdoo (Science teacher), Ms Skehan (Geography teacher) and Ms Donohoe (Green Schools co-ordinator) for their support on this project.
