Ms. Reynolds' 3rd Year English students used Facebook in an innovative way to recreate the events of the novel, "The Outsiders" by S.E. Hinton during October and November. Browse through the Flipbook to read this alternative version!
Our third years recreated the events of their novel, 'The Outsiders', by posting about it on Facebook. Each student had to create their own character profile page within a closed group on Facebook. During the project we would all log on at an agreed time and post about that particular chapter (I was Mr Syme, their English teacher!).
I felt this was a great learning tool, as the students had to pay close attention to key details of the plot and demonstrate knowledge of the nuances of the novels' relationships. I plan to use it as a revision aid closer to their exam.

Our 4th years continue to prep our polytunnel. They have been busy planting garlic and onions, broad beans and radishes. They've also been composting the beds and weeding and this week we also planted out lavender and rosemary!

A new Science Club has started on Mondays in the Science Lab where we get to do some quick and exciting experiments to fidget our extra science fix. This week students made self inflating monsters! All are welcome and Dr. McAdoo cannot wait to see you there!!
