1st Year students in nationwide “Get Fit & Beat the Bleep” competition run by DCU and RTÉ

Ms. Finnegan has entered the 1st Year students into the nationwide "Get Fit & Beat the Bleep" competition run in partnership between DCU and The John Murray Show on RTÉ Radio 1.

1st Year Beat the BleepMs. Finnegan has entered the 1st Year students into the nationwide "Get Fit & Beat the Bleep" competition run in partnership between DCU and The John Murray Show on RTÉ Radio 1. The 1st Years do the bleep test, then after a 6-week training program they do the bleep test again to see if they made progress. They could win €1000 equipment and a place on a 3-Day Sports and Activity Camp in DCU.

Professor Niall Moyna is the brainchild behind the competition, who believes that fitness is the key to solving our health and obesity problems. Professor Moyna is fitness mentor to the All-Ireland Football Champions, Dublin. Best of luck 1st Years! (Click on thumbnail to open an enlarged version of image.)

Stratford reach the 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals in RDS for the first time

Congratulations to 1st Year Computer Studies students - Yair, Liam and Giorgi - who made it to the ECO-UNESCO 2026 Young Environmentalist Awards Finals held on 12th May with their Scratch coding project called "Giorgi the Litter Fighter". This is the first time that a Stratford project has made it to the finals - so very impressive work!
