1st Year Mini Company Winners Announced: Local Fiasco

Locker shelves and bio-pens impress the judges. Local Fiasco will represent Stratford College in Croke Park in March 2011.

Local FiascoThe winners of the 1st Year Mini Company competition, Local Fiasco, will represent Stratford College in Croke Park at the Dublin Finals in March 2011. This will involve setting up a shop, writing a Business Plan, selling their products and communicating their ideas to four judges who will come from major Irish companies. Hopefully Local Fiasco can surpass the amazing acheivement of last year's representatives from Stratford College who were awarded a tropy for the design of their shop and the originality of their products.

Bag BoutiqueBag Boutique, another 1st Year Mini Company, sold eco-friendly bags. They also arranged a raffle on the day of the competition and sold delicious cups of coca with brownies.

  

 

Totally Typically Your LifeTotally Typically Your Life, the other 1st Year Mini Company, sold lockers mirrors for those "bad hair days" and scrumptious chocolate/marshmallow kebabs dipped in a chocolate fountain.

Appointment of Delia Donohoe to Permanent Deputy Principal

Delia Donohoe has been appointed as Permanent Deputy Principal of Stratford College, following her tenure as Acting Deputy Principal since August 2023. This milestone marks her 21st year as a dedicated member of the Stratford community, where she has made a lasting contribution both in the classroom and in leadership.

Speaking about her appointment Chair of the Board of Management Ms. Aoife Cassidy said: “I am delighted to announce the appointment of Delia as Deputy Principal; she has been a leader and teacher at Stratford College for more than 20 years. During this time, she has served in an acting capacity as Deputy Principal, including over the last three years. She has strong leadership skills and an unwavering commitment and dedication to our school community. We have every confidence that she will continue to lead with the same energy, warmth and dedication in the years ahead. We are delighted to formally confirm Delia’s appointment and wish her every success in the role going forward.
