Ms. Donohoe and Ms. McCarthy, along with a group of 5th and 6th Year Classical Studies students visited Bath and Stonehenge on Friday, 11th and Saturday 12th January 2013. The highlight of the trip was seeing the Roman Baths. Thanks to Ms. Donohoe for organising a fantastic trip!

The Ski Trip to Austria was really fantastic. The snow was good, the skiing was great and the skiers skiied 8 miles on the first day! The photos reveal all. Thanks to Ms. Finnegan who organised the trip and to Mr. Desmond who also went on the trip.

The 5th Year LCVP class organised the End-of-Term Table Quiz, in aid of Barretstown. There were nine teams and eight rounds of six questions. Eagerly anticipated, closely fought, in the end the Green team won with 39 points. There was also a raffle. Well done to the 5th Year LCVP students and Mr. Desmond for hosting an excellent table quiz.

There were four very industrious 1st Year Mini-Companies offering products such as calendars, chocolate dips, wallets made out of milk cartons, raffles and braided bracelets. It was a busy morning for all concerned. Thank you to Mr. Desmond for managing the day so well.

The Jewish Studies department invited 10 schools from the Dublin and Greater Leinster Area to visit the Taca in Terenure on Tuesday, 11th December to celebrate Chanukah. Approximately 60 students and teachers enjoyed Hanukkah food, music and meeting new people.

Science Week 2012 unfolded into a second week this year. 3rd, 4th and 5th Year Science students left school early in the morning to travel to W5 in Belfast on Wednesday, 21st November. Thanks to Ms. McCarthy and Ms. O'Sullivan for organising Science Week 2012.

Stratford Schools (Primary and Secondary) opened their doors to visitors on Sunday, 18th November. The schools were buzzing with visitors, as students guided them around the classrooms and grounds. Visitors also enjoyed the Student Art Exhibition in the hall. After Ms. Gordon spoke, the Stratford College Choir sang to the audience. Students had a busy week during Science Week 2012. This is a list of events: Monday, 12th November: 1st and 2nd Year students went to a ECO-UNESCO Biodiversity Workshop. Tuesday, 13th November: TY and 5th Year students went to DIT Kevin Street for three lectures. Thursday, 14th November: 5th and 6th Year Biology students went to Dublin Zoo for a Genetics lecture, while TY and all other Leaving Certificate Science students went to DIT for further lectures. Wednesday, 21st November: 3rd, TY and 5th Year Science students went to W5, Belfast for the day. Thursday, 22nd November: 3rd and 5th Year Biology students went to a Biodiversity Workshop.
