Hanukkah, the Festival of Rededication or Feast of Lights, is an 8 day holiday which begins on the 25th of the Hebrew month of Kislev. Rabbi Lent and his Jewish Studies students made their own chanukiah.

Every year Mrs Walsh with the Student Council organise a food collection (non-perishable) as part of Mitzvah Week/Social Action week (14th - 18th November). Boxes of food were collected and brought to Focus Ireland on Tuesday ,13th December.

On Monday, 5th December, Stratford College hosted a visit from a group of Young Ambassadors from Israel. The Israeli students, also of secondary school age, spent the day with a group of Stratford students as part of their week-long tour of Ireland.

Jewish Chronicle journalist, Barry Toberman, has just published an article in The Jewish Chronicle Online about the Jewish Community in Ireland, Thursday, 27th October. He visited both Stratford schools as part of his research for the article, which is reflected in the article.
