askaboutireland.ie is an extremely useful website for using when doing projects, essays and homework on anything to do with Ireland - Geography, History, CSPE to name but a few. Ms. O'Kelly delves further into the website to see what else you may find helpful.
It is split into four main sections where you can discover videos, audio recordings, maps, images, ebooks and authoritative articles:
Reading Room - This contains information geographical, cultural and heritage information about Ireland. Check out the ebooks by subject or by Irish county.
Libraries - This outlines the online services available if you visit any Public Library in the country. Online services include full access to the Irish Times archive, Ordnance Survey Ireland and JStor (Irish Journals in Arts, Humanities and Science from the 1700s to the present).
Learning Zone - This is split into two area, primary and secondary students. When you go into the secondary student area, information is broken down into different school subjects. There are also two important sections about how to do research and how to do a great project - the steps in each process are described in detail.
ENFO - Find out anything you want about environmental issues relating to Ireland.
