Hannah Kearns, 6th Year Prefect, summarises all the work that the Student Council has been involved with this term, including the celebrations for the Diamond Jubilee.

The last term has been very busy for the Student Council: from helping out with the launch of our book '60 Years A Growing', to organising Open Day and the Diamond Jubilee Concert, to Mitzvah week and finally to organising elections for the new prefects. We have certainly been kept on our toes!

As the current prefects are coming up to the Mocks and with the exams in June approaching, this is our last term as hed of the Student Council. I speak on behalf of us all when I say it has been a wonderful, action-packed last few months. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Student Council and wish we could remain in practice!

On land, we did Archery, climbing, human foosball, life-sized board games and lots of table tennis. After the activities we were all famished, our hunger was erased in an instant as the chefs there prepared delicious meals. Despite the mixed weather we still got into the water. We loved every second of it, but we also loved the hot showers afterwards! In our Irish class we expanded our vocabulary, learning new words for the activities we did, then wrote and performed scripts as Gaeilge that included the new vocabulary.
