Stratford College celebrates World Book Day, Thursday, 3rd March

Tim Cullen (2nd Year) describes some of the events that took place in Stratford on World Book Day, including a 5 minute Drop Everything And Read time.

World Book Day 2011This year we had three different things for World Book DaDEAR 2nd Yearsy. We had to fill out a survey about the last book we read, our favourite book in Primary School and our favourite fictional character. TWorld Book Day library displayhe results were put on the Library display boards and on the 2010-2011 Gallery on the school website.Rathgar Bookshop

At form time we had to Drop Everything And Read (D.E.A.R.) for five minutes.

At lunchtime The Rathgar Book shop came to the school with books for different age groups. There was a raffle for a free book and World Book Day tokens. (Click on thumbnails to open an enlarged version of photo.)

Stratford celebrated Wellbeing Week 2026 (5th - 8th May), a special week dedicated to promoting positive mental health, physical activity and cultural awareness. Students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of fun and engaging activities throughout the week, including walks, workshops, cultural events, sports, and wellbeing challenges.
