Parents Association event: In conversation with ... online marketing and social media experts

Ciamh McCrory, Director of Digital Marketing, Brian McCarthy, Sales and Marketing Director of Newsaccess and John Norton, independent TV and Film producer are all speaking in the school hall, Thursday, 21st March at 8pm.

Social Media iconsOur next ‘in conversation with…..’ takes place this coming Thursday, March 21st at 8pm in the School Hall of Stratford College, Rathgar, Dublin 6.

It will feature 3 guest speakers who will be discussing the

  • realms and uses of both online and social media
  • the tools of online marketing - how they are used to build brands and reputation
  • the tools of evaluation and how to use these tools to evaluate your online presence
  • the future of traditional media and in particular the direction that TV production is taking to engage us, the viewers.

The speakers include:

  1. Ciamh McCrory Director of Digital Marketing and Lecturer at the European Institute of Communications, one of Ireland’s foremost academic communication Institutes, and a sales and marketing professional
  2. Brian McCarthy, Sales and Marketing Director of Newsaccess, one of Ireland’s leading media evaluation companies
  3. John Norton, Ireland’s most innovative and current producer of independent TV and Film productions for the Irish and international markets

This session will be of immense interest for any of us who are engaging stakeholders online whether from a corporate or personal perspective. Teas and Coffees will be served and we very much hope that we will have your support in attending this event. Our ‘in conversation with Paul Williams’ last month was a tremendous success and a very enjoyable evening. We had a 30% attendance from parents and friends and I truly hope you will support this particular session. TY Weekly: Elaine Garvey Writing workshop; Glasnevin Cemetary history trip

On Wednesday, the 23rd of September, a group of us TY students had the opportunity to welcome Irish writer Elaine Garvey to our school, where we took part in a two-hour workshop with her. On Friday the 25th of September, we embarked on our weekly trip which brought us northside, to Glasnevin Cemetery, so write Ianis, Vihaan and Matthew B (TY Weekly editors).
