School Careers Day:
The school will be organising a school careers day for the benefit of 5th and 6th years. Can you help in this regard? We need parents / guardians working in areas that students have expressed an interest in, to attend the evening (sometime in April) to provide and discuss the background to the student’s interested career and what’s involved in that particular spectrum, duties and roles etc.
World Book Day:
Stratford College have taken the innovative step to produce a book of student’s ‘96 Best Literary Articles’ to celebrate World Book Day on March 7th next. This is the first time that a secondary school will actually do this. To support the publication of the book we are endeavouring to raise €500 towards the cost. We already have pledges from three of the parents who have companies totalling €150 and are seeking assistance from parents who might be in a similar position to support this project. Acknowledgement will be by way of a list (no advertisements). Are you in a position to help? If so contact the school directly and the admin staff will coordinate your involvement.
We very much look forward to meeting you over the coming months and look forward to your much needed support and the various events and activities.
