The National Parents' Council Annual conference is being organised now and the organisers a looking for agenda items from parents. The conference is on the 12th/13th October in the Sheraton Athlone Hotel.
The National Parents' Council (NCP) are in the process of organising the Annual Conference for 2012. This year the conference will be held in the Sheraton Athlone Hotel on the 12th and 13th of October. This year they are calling on you, the parents and Parent Association members to let them know what you would like to see on the agenda in October.
Last year for the very first time the National Parents’ Council Post Primary member organisations (COMPASS + CSPA + FEDCBS + NPAVSCC + PACCS = NPCpp) came together to host a joint conference for all parents of students in second level schools. The conference was attended by up to 200 parents and Parent Associations from around the country and deemed a great success.

Our Transition Year (TY) students hosted a successful coffee morning in the school hall to raise funds for Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services in Harold's Cross. Year groups visited the hall in turn for tea, coffee, and treats. Thanks to Ms. Maxwell, Ms. Talbot, Ms. McGill and all our TY students.

On Wednesday, the 23rd of September, a group of us TY students had the opportunity to welcome Irish writer Elaine Garvey to our school, where we took part in a two-hour workshop with her. On Friday the 25th of September, we embarked on our weekly trip which brought us northside, to Glasnevin Cemetery, so write Ianis, Vihaan and Matthew B (TY Weekly editors).
Some of our Chinese students celebrated the Mooncake Festival this morning with traditional treats, and stories about the holiday. The round shape of the mooncakes mirrors the bright harvest moon, symbolizing family togetherness and completeness.
