Kate Dempsey, 5th Year, was on the team which represented Stratford at the Inter-Schools Library Quiz on Thursday, 15th January. Kate explains what happened.
On the 15th of January a select few fifth years got the opportunity to attend the Annual Library quiz, this year hosted by Sandford Park! I'll just start by saying I haven't a clue how I made the team yet was delighted to be brought along. I was surprisingly nervous on our way to the event as any general knowledge question Ms. O'Kelly posed to me on the way caused my brain to go blank.
We arrived about five minutes late and as we burst through the doors panting for air, after our brief sprint to the hall, we were greeted by a series of serious and competitive looking teams. Our team consisted of myself, Maeve, Andrew, Niall and Rory. We didn't win but we had a great time showing off our knowledge in certain areas and laughing at questions that no-one knew whatsoever.
I have to say a big thanks to Ms. O'Kelly who made the day possible and didn't kill us after seeing our scores on certain rounds (especially literature!)

In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
