NEWS / 13 February 2013

Sean McGuinness (5th Year) was on the 5th Year Inter-School Library Quiz team which was held in Sandford Park on Friday, 8th February. He describes what happened.

On Friday, 8th February, Katie, Rory, Alice Murphy, Rachel and I, and our faithful supporter Diarmaid, went to Sandford Park with Ms. O'Kelly to take part in the Inter-Schools Library Quiz. After we got there and took our seats the quiz began, but not before the quiz master, Ross O'Carroll Kelly took 30 minutes of my life I will never get back, by reading an extract from one of his books.

Unfortunately we didn't do too well, coming 6th (out of 17 or 18 schools). We blame that on the Ross O'Carroll Kelly round though. We did worst in that round best in the Literature round. It seems the students of Stratford College have the best taste in Literature. (Click on blog title to see more photos.)

It mimics nature and so is more enticing to pollinators and native insects that need the food in Spring.
