On Thursday, 17th February, the 5th Year Library Quiz team and supporters took part in the 5th Annual Library Table Quiz with 15 other schools.
Armed with our loyal group of supporters, the Stratford College 5th Year Quiz team (Robert Downes, Lucy Murphy, Michael Lysaght, Cathy Dunne and myself) made our way to Muckross College on Thursday, 17th February, for the fifth annual Library table quiz. The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the quizmaster Paul Howard, who is well known for his invention of Ross O'Carroll-Kelly. After an entertaining read from one of this novels, the quiz commenced. Despite our efforts we were not victorious. However a good day was day by all and we got plenty of free sweets in the process! In the run up to the state exams, Stratford's Wellbeing Team draws your attention to the suite of resources on gov.ie under the heading of Wellbeing support for Exam Students, Parents and School Staff.
As is tradition at this time of year, the annual rounders game took place between our outgoing 6th Years and Teachers. Despite great efforts by our 6th years and some fabulous play, Teachers came out victorious. Fair play to all who played in this game.
