Student Council led by Ms Kenny organised a really international Culture Day with symbols of food, culture, dress, dance and music displayed for all to see in the hall. The Sports Assembly was held on Tuesday, 14th May and hosted by our wonderful Ms Finnegan. Well done to all the medal winners - Sports Day 2024 was a blast!Once it was over, we celebrated the TY Graduation which reflected the huge variety of activities that the TYs undertook throughout the year. Thanks Ms Finnegan and Ms Maxwell for making it so incredible! Student Council presented Ms Gordon with presents to mark her forthcoming retirement after 25 years of exemplary service as Principal of Stratford College. Thank you Ms Gordon. Stratford has really been celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge this year! From going to see Irish films in the Stella Cinema in Rathmines, to visiting the Books of Kells, a big school quiz, a fantastic 2nd year assembly, dressing up in green and finally a massive ceili! The TY's went on a History trip to Berlin and saw many historical sites with Ms Kenny, Ms Finnegan, Rabbi Wieder and Ms Gordon. From the Olympic Stadium to the Berlin Wall, to the Brandenburg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie, it was a fascinating trip. Many thanks to Ms Kenny and Ms Finnegan for organising! Student Council, led by Ms Talbot, organised a fantastic Awards Ceremony. It started early in the morning with the ISSU President, Shari Irfan meeting with the Student Councils from Stratford College and The High School, Dublin. This was then followed with refreshments out front of the school where last year's 6th years all met up again. The Awards Ceremony itself started musical interludes co-ordinated by Ms Conlon, followed by Ms Gordon speaking to the school and then a Q&A session with the ISSU President - with many excellent questions from students. The Awards Ceremony celebrated the many achievements of our students in 2022-2023. We finished up with more fantastic music from senior students. Thanks to John our caretaker, Student Council and TY's who helped set up and tidy up the hall.
