The 5th and 6th Year LCVP classes organised a great Table Quiz on the last day of term, Thursday, 22nd December. There was a nail-biting finish with tables, 10, 2 and 9 all drawing at the end of the last round. After the first tie-breaker question, table 9 bowed out. Table 10 were the eventual winners after more tie-breaker questions. Well done to the 5th and 6th Year LCVP students for doing such a good job!

Ms. Conlon and the Student Council organised an extremely successful Talent Show on Wednesday, 7th December. The array of talent was superb. The School Choir sang at the interval, accompanied by Shelley Bukspan and Dave McGuinness. The whole school, as well as 5th and 6th Class pupils from Stratford National School, enjoyed the afternoon. Arts Week 2011 was extremely busy for teachers and students alike, with a packed programme of events throughout the week. Monday, 7th November Tony Curtis, Poet, visited 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year students Comedy Workshop for TY and 6th Year students 2nd and 5th Year Students visited the National Museum to see Roman Artefacts Tuesday, 8th November TY students went on a Classical walking tour of Dublin city centre. Wednesday, 9th November 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year students visited Dublinia Acting Workshop for TY and 6th Year students UCD Classical Museum Tour and Handling Collection for TY, 5th and 6th Year Classics students Thursday, 10th November TY and 5th Year Art students visited the National Library of Ireland and the National Gallery of Ireland Friday, 11th November 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year students watched and participated in the French play, "Le porte-bonheur" TY, 5th and 6th Year students watched and participated in the French play, "Le paysan médicin"

On Friday, 28th October the Annual Awards Ceremony were held in the hall. Mr. Russell was Master of Ceremonies. The programme started off with an excellent musical interlude, with a duet from Jorden Bukspan (3rd Year) and Carmel Grey (2nd Year) on piano, Turlough Eccles (3rd Year) on harp, Seán Lysaght (3rd Year) on classical guitar and finishing off with the School Choir. Ms. Gordon gave the Opening Address, followed by an address and presentation of the Awards by the Guest of Honour, Rabbi Lent. The Student Council presented Mr. Cody with a framed picture drawn by Rachel Jones (TY) on the occasion of his retirement. Finally, the 3rd Year CSPE students held a Green School raffle to raise funds to buy recycling bins for the hall.
