Resilience Academy

NEWS / 2 February 2024

Third Years are taking part in Pieta House’s Resilience Academy programme this February. Designed especially for secondary schools and run over a number of sessions it equips students with the tools to support their emotional resilience including – coping skills, problem-solving, decision-making, and cognitive skills.

By targeting risk factors in a positive and proactive way, the programme aims to give young people the knowledge and ability to support their emotional well-being not just now, but long into the future.

Speaking about the initiative teacher Ms Finnegan said: “We have worked with Pieta House previously on this initiative and believe the students will find it really useful, giving them a host of practical tips and tools".
