Stratford wins at BTYSTE!

NEWS / 12 January 2024

Huge congratulations to Liam and Joseph (TY) for their two wins at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition this evening and to Bláithnáid for her Display Award!

Their project - Sienna: Your dynamic AI Voice companion; Redefining Personal Assistance - won first place in the Intermediate Group Technology category and the Regeneron special award. This last award is presented to the project that the judges feel will best represent Ireland at ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair) in California in May. So not only two wins for Liam and Joseph but a visit to the USA too!

Bláithnáid (TY) designed a robot to help provide assistance to older people called “Helper 347” and is entered in the Intermediate Individual, Health & Wellbeing category.

A massive thank you to our Computer Science teacher Helen O'Kelly for all her work across the year in guiding, supporting and encouraging our students, before and after their selection. And to all our teachers and parents who have lent their support.

We are also extremely proud of Bláithnáid, Ciara, Ritvik, Noah and Hao Wen on presenting so well and coming so far in what is a highly competitive event.

Congratulations all! Go Stratford!
