Today, Friday 12th April, first year students engaged in an immersive reptile workshop, delving into a hands-on learning experience with a variety of fascinating creatures including snakes, lizards, turtles and spiders!

U15 Boys Basketball team beaten by St Tiernans in a demanding Final

Major congratulations to the U15 Boys Basketball team who gave everything in a challenging Final on Thursday 11th April against a very strong team from St Tiernans. At no point did the team ever give up! Making it to the Finals is a brilliant achievement and proved to be a great learning experience.

STEM trip to Regeneron, Co. Limerick as two TY students prepare for ISEF 2024 in Los Angeles!

TY students Joseph and Liam won the Regeneron Special Award at BTYSTE 2024 which means they will be representing Ireland at the forthcoming Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Los Angeles in May!

Regeneron invited Stratford TY's, 5th Year Computer Science students and Stratford's 7 BTYSTE 2024 students to their manufacturing site in Limerick on Tuesday 9th April.

Leaving Certificate Consultations for Tranche 2 subjects

The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) is consulting on the Background Paper and Brief for Tranche 2 subjects. The consultation runs from the 8 April 2024 until the 17 May 2024.

TY's participate in Trinity College Pytch-Micro:bit research workshop

TY's have been learning to code in Python since January using pytch.org as the way to transition from Scratch to Python. Pytch is developed by Trinity College Dublin and TY's were invited to participate in a further research project where Pytch works with micro:bits.

Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) Programme for Stratford Schools - Update

We've just received news that our School Zone will be installed later this month. The contractors are starting in Harold’s Cross on Monday and as soon as that’s finished – we hope within a week – our installation will be next.
