Group of 1st Years raise over €300 for MS-Readathon

Well done to Grace Robbins, Sarah Nelkin, Evan Pender, Nathan Slattery and Sean Noonan who raised approximately €340 for MS-Ireland as part of the recent MS-Readathon.

Well done to the following first year students who raised approximately €340 for MS-Ireland as part of the recent MS-Readathon: Grace Robbins, Sarah Nelkin, Evan Pender, Nathan Slattery and Sean Noonan. Special mention goes to Grace and Sarah for the amount of money that they raised and the number of books that they read in the month.  They read 60 books in total! 10% of the total money can be kept and goes toward the school library.

Thanks too to Ms Talbot for encouraging everyone to participate.

Growing up in Ireland report (2018): "Only quarter of 9 year olds get enough physical activity"

In the Growing up in Ireland national longitudinal study of children, recent short reports on the lives of 9 year-olds from the study highlighted "just one-quarter reported being physically active for at least 60 minutes every day – the World Health Organisation recommended level of activity for children" (Irish Heart Foundation).
