On Thursday, 10th February TY students went mountain biking in Avon Rí in Blessington. We learned how to use bikes in different ways we didn’t know beforehand. We learned how to use the gears in new ways, and new skills which helped us when we went for a cycle in the forest. We all really enjoyed the day.

Over the past few Tuesday afternoons, the Leinster Rugby Development Coach, Jack Hanratty, has been coming in to Stratford to coach us on rugby. It's for students from any year. It is both touch and contact. It is for both boys and girls and it's great fun. There is a possibility that a Stratford Seven's team and a Tag Rugby team will be entered into an upcoming tournament. Watch this space! Rugby training is on every Tuesday, 4 - 5:15pm.

The boys U19’s beat St. David’s, Greystones on Tuesday, 2nd November by 46-22. Scorekeeper: Lucy Murphy (5th Year).

The U16 girls were very successful at a recent tournament in Tallaght on Tuesday, 16th November,
winning two matches. Scorekeeper: Lucy Murphy (5th Year).
U16 team: Katie Richardson-McCrea, Gabrielle Eppel,
Abi Grainger, Adina Kilroy, Kara Stein, Eleanor McNamara, Ciara Harrison.
The U16 boys played O’Connell Schools on Wednesday, 24th November and unfortunately lost. Scorekeepers: Lucy Murphy (5th Year) and Anna Douglas (5th Year).
U16 team: Jordan Daly, Daniel Kelly, Toms Spruds, Jonathan Sweeney, Sean McGuinness, Ethan Brady-Arnold, Turlough Eccles, Jake Regan, Ciaran O’Brien.
The Senior team beat O’Connell Schools on the same day, winning dramatically 28-25, with last minute heroics from Luke McGuinness. They’ve now reached the Regional semi’s!
