On Wednesday, 16th May, we went on our school walk in the Wicklow Way. While we were there we had three stops. During the first stop we saw a really beautiful waterfall - Powerscourt Waterfall - and also a nice view of the Sugarloaf. At our second stop we were down near a small stream. While we were walking up to the third stop Mr. Russell stopped us and showed us the Irish Sea. At the end of the day, Mr. Russell told us that we probably finished the walk in the fastest time. It was a very sunny day and the scenary was really awesome. (Click on thumbnail to open an enlarged version of image.)

The whole school went on a sponsored walk, in aid of Barretstown, up the Wicklow mountains. The day was a great success and luckily the weather stayed dry. It was a great day out that everyone enjoyed.
An updated version (May 2012) of how to set your Facebook Privacy settings, which includes settings to Timeline and Apps, is now available on the Policies section of the school website under School Policies. It was authored by Mischa McInerney, Web Consultant, for our school website.
This year I decided to celebrate the wonderfully imaginative and articulate work of our students by providing them with a forum to present them to the whole school. Each year group presented their best work. Unfortunately, their critical essays, which have been outstanding, have been excluded as their content wouldn't be suitable from an entertainment point of view. Watch the video highlights and listen to the podcasts to enjoy it all again.

After eight years of trying, Stratford College Green Schools Committee has finally been awarded the Green Flag. A Green Schools Committee Member will attend a presentation ceremony in Croke Park on Tuesday, 22nd May.
The school is delighted to have a symbol of our achievement. We were awarded the flag based on our efforts to reduce waste and implement practical recycling measures. The committee are looking forward to maintaining the high standard of work that has earned us this privilege.
