Well done to all the 1st Year Business students who had an impressive range of business products at the Mini-Company's Fair Day, Wednesday, 14th December. Randomosity Ltd. were the overall winners. Acting as one of the judges, Ms.Reynolds said, "not only did Randomosity Ltd. secure the highest profit margin but they were also commended for their financial management and team vitality. A huge congratulations to all who managed to successfully run a business for a day."

Jenny Bells Ltd.
"We make hot chocolate with a secret recipe. It's too good to tell!"
M + M Ltd.
"We sell Oreo and Munchies milkshakes. We also have a raffle where you can win soap, soft drinks or chocolate."
Randomosity Ltd.
"We sell novelty good which are perfect for gifts. It's like a joke shop. We also have a carnival corner where you can play games. There's a raffle too with a €10 voucher for Dundrum for the winner".
The Elder Lemons Ltd.
"We are selling fashionable things such as necklaces and bracelets. We also have 'eat-your-teacher' cupcakes, a Russell Bundle (which includes a badge, wristband, two lollipops and two gums). We're also on Facebook."

This year'
s TY Business students have been learning Chinese and learning about cultural aspects of China, explains Mr. Russell. Two young and vibrant Chinese teachers come into Stratford College every week to teach TY students how to write their names in Chinese, Chinese salutations and Chinese culture, including Chinese paper-cutting. Mr. Russell describes the Friends of Stratford Schools Business event held on Monday, 14th November as being most useful. Mr. Russell spoke with those who attended for the morning event and the overall feedback was that the event was of tremendous benefit for making new contacts. We look forward to the next event. There will be a breakfast for members of Friends of Stratford Schools in the hall of Stratford College on Monday, 14th November from 8am to 10am. See Business Network for more details. All weclome.
The Friends of Stratford Schools held a very succesful inaugural breakfast business event in April and this event promises to be the same!

XBox Tournament, 2011-2012
XBox Tournament, 2011-2012, is offering students in Stratford College the opportunity to take part in tournaments at lunchtime to win great prizes. Entry into each competition costs €3. Three competitions are planned to run during the year. The first will be FIFA 2012 which starts in November. The second will be Modern Warfare in December and finally a vintage game tournament in February.
The competition will run from 1.10 - 1.40 at lunchtimes and the matches are five minutes each. For more information, talk to us: Jonathan Sweeney (Managing Director), Sean McGuinness, Elan Bondi, Paul Ingoldsby, Hugh Cannon and Toms Spruds.
Table Tennis Competition
The Yo! Ping Pong Ltd. TY mini-company are organising an Table Tennis competition during week beginning 21st November. Anyone can enter for €2.50. All teachers have to enter. It will be a knockout competition and there will be prizes for the winner and runner-up. Refreshements will be available from the Candy Corner Trip (also the same company). In early 2012, the company plan to hold a quiz and a raffle. Captured in Time - Stratford College Yearbook
The TY company, Captured in Time, are producing a Stratford College Yearbook. The Yearbook will capture the memories of Stratford College in the recent past, as well as capturing current events. On the 2nd December, they are organising class photos throughout the school. These photos will be a great momento to have. Included in the Yearbook will be polls, pictures of school events, advertisements and an autographs page. It will be printed professionally and will cost €10 - €12. Battle of the Bands
The TY company who organise the annual Battle of the Bands competition are currently in the planning stage. A final date has not been set yet, but the event will be held in early March 2012.
