The Arts
Stratford College has a thriving creative student community consisting of young writers, film makers, photographers and artists. We pride ourselves on their resourceful and innovative ideas, key skills required in a knowledge society. Our biannual Arts Week provides opportunities for our students to work with up and coming musicians, artists and writers. Art, Music, Music Technology, History, Geography, Classical Studies, Jewish/Hebrew Studies, Drama, Film Studies and Film Making, Photography and Public Speaking are provided by the school through regular classes and after school activities.
Science/Maths
Our Science Department strive to foster the development of problem solving skills and discovery learning through its teaching methodologies, involvement in Science Week and in the Young Scientist Exhibition. All Junior Cycle students study Science for the Junior Certificate Examination. Biology, Chemistry and Physics are offered at senior level in the well-stocked science laboratory.
Maths is taught up to and including Higher Leaving Certificate Level.
ICT
ICT supports and promotes the curriculum a variety of ways some of which are listed below:

Physical Education
Stratford College offers a seasonally varying sports programme which include basketball, tennis, tag rugby, circuit training, gaelic football, orienteering, athletics and cross country running are some of the sporting activities our students engage in. The Transition Year programme includes skiing, yoga, outdoor pursuits, sailing and self-defence. Our extra curricular activities include swimming and golf. Our sporting facilities consist of two outdoor basketball courts, spacious multi-purpose outside pitch and indoor hall and the use of the adjacent Rathgar Tennis Club facilities.
Languages
Irish and French are actively promoted and encouraged through the use of the most progressive teaching methodologies, cultural trips, exchange visits and immersion courses.
Business
Business is offered to all Junior Certificate students. Business, Accounting, Economics and Enterprise Education are the options for Leaving Certificate. Entrepreneurial skills are actively cultivated in both junior and senior classes through the creation of the mini-companies and involvement in Enterprise Education.
Social, Personal and Health Education, Civic, Social and Personal Education and Guidance
The personal and social development of the individual student is promoted through the curriculum and plays a central role in the life of the school. Leadership is modelled by students to students through their involvement with the Student Council, Mentors, and Senior Prefects.
Co-Curricular Activities
Drama, debating, An Gaisce, music, multimedia, exhibitions, shows, theatre and literary events, sports and community involvement in and outside the school are actively encouraged.
